Who am I

Emma Pickering

Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog where I shall be sharing my tales from the bank and posting information for all to enjoy.

I have been very fortunate to represent England since the age of 15, In the Intermediates ages 15-19 and ladies 16 - present. In that time I've gained 5 team golds, 1 team silver, 2 team bronze and 1 individual gold in Hungary 2008. On the domestic UK scene I have become national champion in 2006 & 2013, I am also very fortunate to have won the juniors Fish O Mania final and since also won the ladies Fish O Mania final 3 times in 2008, 2013 & 2014,

I am a big believer that you learn every time you go fishing even if you fish the same venue each week, this motivates me to get out on the bank to develop my knowledge further. Being a female angler and with what I have achieved I hope I can inspire more females and youngsters to get into the sport and enjoy it, whether through Club Korum something which I am very excited to be involved with, through magazine articles or just meeting ladies on the bank.

My favourite strength has to be catching at speed whether fishing short or long on the pole. My favourite style of fishing has to be bloodworm and joker during the winter months for roach, I like the challenge during the winter of working out the correct feeding patterns and having to work hard for every bite.

I have gained a wide range of knowledge through fishing in different countries over the years and feel I can pass this information on to others through working in conjunction with Preston Innovations and Sonubaits.

I wish everyone tight lines and hope to see many of you on the bank.

Emma
